Short Notice Help
We get it, you’re on a deadline and something has gone wrong that you can’t fix. You don’t have to put your client off or miss a deadline, you can call us for help.
If we can fix it within 24 hours, we will do so. If we cannot, eg: our work list is full, holidays, sickness or if the machine needs specific parts we don’t stock, we will need to take it away to fix the problem. If we have to do this we can provide a loan domestic sewing machine at no extra charge to keep you sewing.
For emergencies, please text (not call) 07825 904066. Note: this is not a 24/7 service. The phone is not monitored between 10pm and 7am.
Please see our Terms & Conditions for more details first.

Sewing Machine Loans
Sewing machine loans are only an option when we may need to keep the machine longer than anticipated. An offer of a loan machine typically happens once we understand what parts are needed and their delivery time.
A deposit and contract is needed for every loan.
All our machines are kept in good working order and used frequently. We can supply accessories (ie: feet) where we have them in stock as part of the loan.

Pre-Purchase Inspections
Sewing machines are a big investment. Second-hand can be a great option and well maintained older machines can be reliable workhorses that last for years. But do you really know what you’re getting.
Buying from a private seller or Dealership: See our Free Stuff page for downloadable checklists and information that can help you find a good machine and protect you and your money.
When to call us
If the machine is expensive it is worth spending a percentage of the machine’s cost on a full vetting. This will give you confidence that the machine will do what is promised and you are not out of pocket.
Vetting needs to be done in person. The output is a photographic and written report on:
- Observations on external and internal condition
- Wear and tear record, including flags
- Checks on most recent service supplier
- Guide price range for that machine in its current condition.
If the seller refuses, walk away.
